PPS Revision Notice #2017-028M
PPS 1.09 Issue 30 - Drilling and ReamingSummary of Changes:
- Added TS.561.11.40 MK 12 drills to the table listing non-piloted double margin drills.
- Added TS.561.11.16 MK 149, MK 150, MK 151, MK 152 and MK 153 drills to the table listing double margin drills with cutting oilots.
- Added TS.561.11.48 MK 40 and MK 41 drills to the table listing double margin drills with non-cutting pilots.
- Added TS.561.11.12 MK 61 reamers to the table listing standard non-piloted reamers.
- Clarified hole diameter tolerances applicable to drilled holes other than fastener holes (i.e., tooling, lightening, etc.).
PPS 9.22 Issue 28 - Assembly of ConnectorsSummary of Changes:
- Added Dykem Cross Check tamper proof mark for torque marking.
- Revised references to tamper proof sealant resistance to hydraulic fluid (e.g., Skydrol) to specify that all tamper proof sealants specified are resistant to splashes of hydraulic fluid but are not resistant to immersion.
- Added an instruction to allow applied tamper proof sealant to cure undisturbed according to the manufacturers' instructions.
- Added an instruction to apply tamper proof sealant sparingly, especially in overhead applications.
- Corrected typo in Table 1 (Connector Types), replacing reference to "MS3723-XX" with reference to "M83723-XX".
- Clarified instruction to observe general shop safety precautions.
- Added additional safety precautions relating to tamper proof sealant.
PPS 9.34 Issue 29 - Terminating Electrical ShieldsSummary of Changes:
- Added inch equivalents to dimensions specified in millimeters for cable diameter when selecting Ideal cable strippers and/or replacement blades
- Revised instructions for installation of ground and jumper wires to specify that unless otherwise specified by the engineering drawing, wiring list or PPS 9.39, ground and jumper wires shall be oriented directly towards termination (i.e., shall not loop back)..
- Deleted general description of a solder sleeve intended to be installed using infrared heating tools. Use of such solder sleeves and tools is no longer referenced in this PPS.
- Added a general safety precaution indicating that the safety precautions specified in this PPS are specific to Bombardier Toronto (de Havilland) and tht suppliers, subcontractors abd partners are responsible for ensuring that their own environmental, health and safety precautions satisfy the appropriate local government regulations..
