PPS 9.01, Issue 29 - Crimping Electrical Terminal Lugs to Copper WireSummary of Changes:
- Added new sub-section 3.1 and para. 3.1.1, to ensure correct usage of reference specifications.
- Created new sub-section 3.2, to identify PPS document references as Bombardier Toronto (de Havilland) process specifications.
- Added new para. 4.1.1, to prevent inappropriate material substitution.
- Replaced specific instructions for qualification of crimp tools/dies with instruction to qualify crimp tools/dies according to PPS 9.55.
- Replaced references to MIL-T-7928/1 lugs with reference to M7928/1 lugs.
- Replaced references to MIL-T-7928/4 lugs with reference to M7928/4 lugs.
- Replaced all reference to Tyco (AMP) with reference to TE Connectivity and added clarification of usage.
- Added procedure and requirements for crimping of TE Connectivity 53978-1 Plasti-Grip terminal lugs.
- Added identification of TE Connectivity 321875 non-insulated lugs as "Solistrand" terminal lugs.
- Revised identificaton of TE Connectivity 6409XX insulated lugs as PIDG Faston receptacles.
