PPS Revision Notice #2017-020
PPS 16.05, Issue 11 - Application of Non-Skid CoatingsSummary of Changes:
- Specified that 800 Series base and 91C06 Catalyst is also to DHMS C4.04 Type 4.
- Revised company name "De Soto Coatings Limited" to "PPG Aerospace, PRC-DeSoto".
- Deleted reference to QDI-15-01 for shelf life extension testing of polyurethane base varnish.
- Standardized abrasive paper grit size to 180 to 220 in place of just specifying 180 or 220 grit.
- Added a Disposal of Chemical Wastes section.
- Added a Storage section.
- Specified to always use oldest stock first (i.e., first in/first out (FIFO) basis).
- Specified if the storage information is not specified in PPS 13.28, follow the manufacturer's requirements.
PPS 23.02, Issue 34 - Protective Treatment and Decorative Surface Finish Code SystemSummary of Changes:
- Updated product name for C7 finish code (i.e., from Dow Corning 321 to Molykote D-321R).
- Deleted all reference to TT-L-20 and TT-L-32 lacquers from finish code F2 and F4 due to REACH regulations.
