PPS 10.17, Issue 11 - Machining of PlasticsSummary of Changes:
- Revised Facilities Requirements section to specify this PPS has been categorized as a controlled special process. Revised wording for test samples for facility qualification, specified as required and if applicable, test samples shall meet the requirements specified by Bombardier Toronto Materials Technology.
- Specified to wear protective respiratory equipment according to PPS 13.13 when machining plastics as specified by PPS 10.17.
- Revised Personnel requirements section.
PPS 32.01, Issue 31 - Chemical Conversion Coating of Aluminum and Titanium Alloys by Immersion (C1)Summary of Changes:
- Updated solution product names as follows:
- Bonderite M-CR 1200 to Bonderite M-CR 1200 Aero
- Alodine 600 to Bonderite M-CR 600 Aero
- Alodine 1600 to Bonderite M-CR 1600 Aero
- Alumigold B to Bonderite Turcoat Alumigold (TC-Alumigold B)
- Metalast TCP-HF to Chemeon TCP-HF
- Oakite Chromicoat L25 to Chromicoat L25

- Added rinse water to Make-Up of Solutions table for quick view.
- Revised operating temperature of Chemeon TCP-HF solution to be 65 to 90F as per current manufacturer's technical data sheet in place of older solution name, Metalast TCP-HF, operating at 65 to 120F.
- Revised operating temperature of Turcoat Liquid Accelagold solution to be 65 to 90F as per current manufacturer's technical data sheet in place of older solution name, Turcoat Accelagold, operating at 77 to 86F.
- Specified immersion time in Bonderite M-CR 1000L to be 2 to 5 minutes as per manufacturer's technical data sheet.
- Added a new Process Qualification section.
- Added a new Test Requirements summary for quick reference.
- Added new Visual Sampling Schedule for production parts.
- Added more detail on corrective action should corrosion resistance testing fails.
- Specified QDI-09-02 as an example as it's an internal BA Toronto document. Suppliers shall have their own BA approved equivalent.
- Specified solution concentration control for Chemeon TCP-HF to be 25 to 30% by volume as per manufacturer's technical data sheet.
- Specified pH control of Turcoat Liquid Accelagold to be 1.5 to 1.9 in place of 1.5 to 2.0 as per manufacturer's technical data sheet.
- Specified solution concentration control of Bonderite M-CR 1000L Aero to be 10 to 15% by volume as per manufacturer's technical data sheet.
PPS 32.02, Issue 24 - Manual Application of C1 Chemical Conversion Coatings
- Specified pH control of Bonderite M-CR 1000L Aero to be below 4.0 in place of below 4.5 as per manufacturer's technical data sheet.

- Specified that testing for process qualification shall meet requirements specified by Bombardier Toronto Engineering.
- Specified incoming water to make up solution and rinsing shall be the same requirement as that specified in PPS 32.01.
- Specified pH control of Turcoat Liquid Accelagold to be 1.5 to 1.9 in place of 1.2 to 2.1 as per manufacturer's technical data sheet.
- Specified to chemical conversion coat cleaned titanium and titanium alloy parts and assemblies within 5 mintues of rinsing.
- Specified to refer to PPS 13.39 for additional personnel requirements.
- Specified to always use the oldest stock first (i.e., first in/first out basis).
- Specified to dispose of all chemical wastes according to national legislation and local regulations. Disposal according to EHS-OP-005 is only applicable to Bombardier Toronto.
